On Saturday, a San Diego brewery took home the top prize in the Los Angeles IPA Festival.
Each year, Mohawk Bend in Echo Park invites different breweries from all over California to duke it out in a competition voted on by those who attend. It’s open to the public and free admission for those over 21.
“Sorta Mostly Dead”, a double dry hopped West Coast style IPA, beat out over 60 other IPA’s to bring the honor of best IPA home to San Diego, specifically North Park.
In operation since 2016, North Park Beer Co has been on the radar of most IPA-lovers with their award winning “Hop-Fu”. Now, with this win, certainly even more people across Southern California will take notice.
