Best Coast Beer Fest Postponed Amid Coronavirus Concerns

Best Coast Beer Fest and Best Coast Brunch Bash 2020 Will No Longer Be Happening on 3/21 & 3/22 Respectively

Announced this morning is that Best Coast Beer Fest 2020 will be postponed due to coronavirus concerns (via thier Instagram)

Governor of California Gavin Newsom came out this morning urging residents to cancel or postpone events of more than 250 people.

Though that is not yet a law, Best Coast officials made the call to postpone the beer festival knowing that it very well qualify. It would be a large gathering of vendors and attendees alike, and they ultimately did not want to endanger anyone.

It has been reschedule for July 25, 2020.

Their official statement via Instagram:

It is with a very, very, very, VERY heavy heart that I must inform you that we are postponing Best Coast Beer Fest and Best Coast Brunch Bash 2020. If you are reading this disappointed, know that I spent the majority of yesterday afternoon slow crying into my sleeve (you know, not to spread anything) and truly contemplating the ability to produce the event.

Initially the thought process was – F* this, we’ll move forward. But that’s not our reality. People are scared. The reality of spreading the disease is real. Our audience is generally healthy, beer loving friends under the risk age of serious illness or death from the coronavirus. But, you may be caring for elderly parents, be in contact with someone with a weakened immune system or a number of other factors that we cannot ignore. So as an event producer, it is my responsibly to take action now. If we don’t the public is at more risk. Additionally, last night the Governor of California recommended that all events over 250 people be postponed. It will only be a matter of time before this becomes law and I cannot in good conscious have the vendors, brewers and everyone involved pour more of their hard work, time and money into planning for the festival at this point.

So what does that mean for you? The great news is that we’ve secured July 25 as the new date for Best Coast Beer Fest and July 26th as the new date for Best Coast Brunch Bash.

Having said that, we know these new dates may not work for you. We appreciate your support of the event and given that the date move is completely outside of anyone’s control will be offering refunds for any ticket purchasers who cannot attend the new date. If this is the case, please reply email [email protected] by March 20th and we will refund your tickets. We ask for your patience as it will likely take us a week to get through this but you will be refunded.

We hope to see you in July. If not, we’ll be back for Best Coast 2021 on March 27, 2021 and hope to see you then.

In the meantime, stay safe, check out the brewery list on our website and enjoy one of the fabulous beers they produce in an environment with less than 250 people.
